Perinatal Depression and Anxiety Awareness Week

12-18 November 2017

Around 1 in 7 new mums and up to 1 in 10 new dads are likely to experience postnatal depression. Up to 1 in 10 expectant mums and 1 in 20 expectant dads struggle with depression during pregnancy. The rate of anxiety across the perinatal period is thought to be just as high.

November 12-18 is Perinatal Depression and Anxiety (PNDA) Awareness Week. (Perinatal refers to the period from conception to one year after birth.)

We can all play a role in supporting new and expectant parents. One way to do this is to get involved in an event, or organise one yourself.

Check out the calendar of events below to see what’s happening around WA in 2017 or email for a planning pack to help you organise your own event.
