Maternity and Neonatal Services
Bridgetown Hospital is a district hospital with one labour and birth suite and antenatal and postnatal beds depend on need.
There were 23 babies delivered in the unit in the 2016/2017 financial year. It caters for low risk deliveries. Maternity care is provided by local GPs and hospital midwives. A visiting consultant obstetrician does a theatre list every two months and occasionally performs elective caesarean sections in the unit. Generally women requiring a caesarean section attend Bunbury or Perth.
