Maternity and Neonatal Services
There were 442 deliveries in the financial year 2016/2017 in Geraldton Hospital. The unit has 2 labour and birth suites and 8 antenatal and postnatal beds to provide for low and medium risk deliveries.

There is 2.0 FTE Salaried consultant obstetricians, 11 VMO GP Obstetricians are available for their own patients and share on call rosters for weekends. There is 24 hour anaesthetic cover provided by a combination of consultants and GP anaesthetists.

There are 2 staff consultant paediatricians. The doctors work across two major hospitals, Geraldton Regional, and SJOG Geraldton. Midwifery staff are available 24/7 to provide care to mothers and babies including those requiring Level 2 nursery care.
