Not for Registry (NFR) patients
As registration with the CCR is voluntary, all WA women
have the right to opt out. This issue should be discussed
with your patient at the time of consultation. Should the
woman decide not to have her smear results forwarded to
the CCR, pleaseuse the appropriate stickers provided by
the CCR. These stickers can be requested with this order form. Alternatively clearly mark 'NFR' on the request
form to ensure the laboratory staff are made fully aware
the result should not be reported. This will prevent automatic
transferral of data to the CCR.
Practice Incentive Program (PIP) –
Cervical Screening Component
The CCR, in conjunction with the WA Divisions of General
Practice, developed a PIP
data request form to assist with the implementation
of the Cervical Screening component of the Commonwealth
PIP initiatives. Submission of a completed form will enable
the CCR to provide a GP with a list of women (name, date
of birth, last known address and date of last known Pap
smear) for whom they were the last known care provider and
who have not had a Pap smear in the past four years. Should
these women present for screening, the GP will be eligible
to receive a payment for this service. It is imperative
the CCR receives the GP’s historical provider number(s)
and addresses covering this period.
Once the information is compiled the CCR will return the
lists (in sealed individual envelopes) to the Divisions
for distribution. Unless stipulated on the request form
by the GP, the CCR will provide the Division with an overview
report advising them of the number of women identified (no
identifying details supplied).
