Women’s Health Policy and Projects

The Women's Health Policy and Projects Unit (WHPPU) have a whole of health mandate "To effect, inform and promote the right to excellence in health care for women, their families and the Western Australian community". It is primarily a policy development unit focussed on women's health.

The Women's Health Policy and Projects Unit (WHPPU) is based within the Women's and Newborns Health Service and is physically located at King Edward Memorial Hospital.

The areas of focus within the unit include Western Australian Women's Health Strategy 2012-2015, Women's Health Centre's and Regional Sexual Assault Services, Female Genital Mutilation and African Women's Wellness as well as Family and Domestic Violence.
