East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) sees innovation as the invention and implementation of transformational ideas, which leads to our vision of healthy people and amazing care. The EMHS Innovation team are dedicated to using best practice innovation methodologies, such as problem reframing, human centred design thinking, and behavioural insights to support our staff to find and solve the most complex problems being faced.

We know our staff are our greatest resource and we encourage all staff to be innovators.
We support our staff to further their understanding and foster a culture of innovation through our flagship Innovation Champions program. The Innovation Champions program provides training in three innovation methods:
- problem reframing
- human centred design thinking
- behavioural insights.
