Perinatal Loss Service
A Perinatal Loss Clinic has been established at King Edwards Memorial Hospital (KEMH) to provide information and ongoing support for women and their families following the loss of their baby/babies. The team comprises of obstetricians, midwives, paediatricians, pastoral care, social workers, perinatal pathologists and psychologists.
The clinic is held fortnightly on a Wednesday afternoon in the Centenary Clinic, KEMH. It is booked for approximately 6-8 weeks post-delivery.

Community support services
Community supports for families include General Practitioners, Child Health or Community Nurses / Midwife, Aboriginal and other Health Care workers, and Religious Chaplains.
Grief support agencies that provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week bereavement support to families who suffer the sudden unexpected loss of a pregnancy/ baby, regardless of cause include:
